"With the Lord a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day."

Sin & suffering
intro
Many ask themselves, why is there so much pain in the world if this God of yours is so loving...
The answer is withing the question.
there is pain in this world, because of His love. To understand this causality, you have to understand sin. This is one of the most difficults aspects of the bible.
The Human empiricism is an epistemological view which holds that true knowledge or justification comes only or primarily from sensory experience. We tend to rationolize every aspect of life instead of surrendering to the cause.
When you experience suffering, it is hard to see the beauty it brings with it. It gets even more difficult when your circumstances do not seem to change. Love can get very distant when the pain becomes very close to you.
Sin
Few people understand the extent of sin and the doctrine of total depravity. When God brought us in to existance, He wanted to give humankind free will. We reflect God’s self-determination. We think, act and determine our destinies out of our “heart.” The Lord sets before us the possibilities of our lives, including the possibility of life or death. But we freely actualize whatever possibilities our “heart” desires.
That Scripture is not depicting a “soft determinist,” “compatibilistic,” understanding of freedom is clear from the fact that humans often use their freedom in ways that directly contradict the Lord’s will. People are not puppets that God secretly controls, but free agents who possess significant control of their own lives, and can either cooperate with, or resist, the will of their sovereign Creator.
If humans had no free will, there would be no evil. If God our creator made us without the choice to rebel against Him, then no evil could have taken place. This leads us to the main concept of sin. When we truly understand God, we can see that He is equivalant to what we call, "unconditional love".
